Dear Valued Partners—

As we approach the Thanksgiving holiday and the end of 2018, we reflect on the challenges and opportunities we’ve embraced throughout the year and glean lessons from this experience. Despite extreme weather events, tariffs and market uncertainty that has and continues to impact projects and businesses nationwide, 2018 has presented us with opportunities to improve and better serve our partners and their customers.

Working with our distributor and contractor partners to innovate—even in challenging times—is a priority to us. The candid and transparent feedback provided through our Voice of the Customer (VOC) surveys this year has led to improvements made throughout our organization. These improvements are focused around areas that impact you the most: product quality, order accuracy, order completeness and on-time delivery. Continuously improving performance in these areas has been prioritized throughout ABC—from supply chain to manufacturing, and from sales to delivery. The progress made thus far has been achieved with your support, as well as tremendous effort from our teams—which have demonstrated an unwavering devotion to improving your ABC experience. Thank you for working with us to drive this shared success this year and in the future as we continue to pursue enhancement opportunities.

In addition to these improvement activities, we have:

  • Added sales personnel in areas previously unrepresented
  • Expanded our product offering to include insulated metal panels (IMPs)
  • Added the ability to see office and plant holiday closures online
  • Improved order load-date notifications

The ABC online ordering tool also continues to offer convenient, time-saving benefits that make finding products and pricing, getting quotes and placing orders quick and easy. The simplicity and efficiency of the tool’s built-in processes and features significantly reduces the chance of order errors and communication lapses—delivering a better overall experience from start to finish. We are currently developing additional enhancements to further improve your online experience and are excited to share them with you in 2019. Lastly, as recently announced, our parent company, NCI Building Systems (NCI), and Ply Gem, LLC (Ply Gem) finalized a merger on November 16, 2018. We are excited about this opportunity as the strength of this combined company allows us to provide you with:

  • A wider range of high-quality exterior building products
  • Additional expertise that supports the development of innovative products and solutions
